We were the Westside Eclectic!, and now, we have joined forces with the largest national touring improv group, to create: M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater. The WCT is the newest chapter for both M.i. Productions and the Independent Comedy Network. The theater was originally founded in 2005 as the Westside Eclectic by Marc Campbell, owner and creator of the ICN. The early success of the theater was due to the uncompromising efforts of Marc, Jamie Flam & Daniel Granoff-- all of whom remain active with the theater today, with Marc maintaining strong leadership role as a minority owner and member of the theater's Board of Directors. In August of 2007, Lloyd Ahlquist joined the theater as the General Manager, bringing with him years of improv performing and teaching experience he had garnered as a founding member of M.i. Productions, the parent company of Mission IMPROVable. In April of 2009, M.i. Productions took over operations of the theater and training center, bringing with them the same passion for comedy that has made their Mission IMPROVable touring show the most popular touring improv show of the last 7 years (performing over 200 dates a year). Lloyd continues in his role as General Manager and Artistic Director, while being joined by Colin Sweeney as the Sales Manager. The grand re-launch of M.i.'s Westside Comedy Theater is scheduled for May 14 thru 16, 2009. |
