Did you just create an incredibly fun character? Did the audience love them? Now that the scene is over, that character is gone forever. Or is it? This class is all about finding innovative and surprising ways to effectively bring back characters that you or your partners have created, to keep the fun going. We’ll learn how to heighten through emotion, environment and relationship. One year improv studies experience recommended (from any school).
Instructor Bio: Adam is an alumnus of The Second City Mainstage, The Just For Laughs Festival and a three-time Canadian Comedy Award Winner. He co-hosts the weekly improv tutorial podcast The Backline: which takes him around the world, performing and teaching improv. He won Best Male Improviser at the Canadian Comedy Awards and is an instructor at The Second City Hollywood and WestSide Comedy Theatre. He graduated from The Second City Conservatory, the IO and UCB Improv programs and studied with multiple members of The Annoyance. Currently Adam can be seen in recurring roles on Baroness Von Sketch Show (IFC) and is a writer and actor on the Emmy Nominated, Workin’ Moms (Netflix Original).
Class sizes are limited. Enrollment is dependent upon availability. For enrolled students a confirmation welcome email will be sent 24 before the start of the first class. There are no refunds or transfers on tuition.
