An iO West Main Stage Harold team, Pockets combines the wonderful talents of nine veteran improvisers. Every show ebbs and flows in its rhythm, weaving together different scenes and themes into one hilarious and action-packed piece. Coached by Holly Laurent (The Reckoning). Winner of Best Harold Team at the 2017 iO West Del Close Awards.

Bernie Mac and Cheese was an idea birthed in the primordial ooze of the Los Angeles improv jam scene. Usually when talented Black performers see each other in improv or acting environments the initial reaction is fear: this person will take my role or my potential spot on a prestigious team. Bernie Mac and Cheese was birthed from the opposite effect… wanting to play with people who you understand culturally and help bring out the best in one another.
Bernie Mac and Cheese is 9 performers of color; Rosena Cornet, Misha Gonz-Cirkl, Simone Finley, Myra Whittington, Sean Grant, Michael Scott, Terrell Thompson, JR Cruz, Franklin Grace and our 10th member is Adam Johns… he’s a straight white male but he’s a ginger so he gets it. The group is diverse in schooling backgrounds, age gaps, marital statuses and so on which allows them to pull from different life experiences and present characters and situations usually foreign to improv stages.
