Join Young Actors Project and M.i.’s Westside Comedy Theater for an action-packed class full of improvisation and performance! This acting intensive will help performers develop their expressiveness while learning to create strong characters in detailed situations. Students will acquire a deep understanding of the basics of building characters and stories. They will learn the elements of a good improvised scene and develop a strong understanding of the principles of improvisation, building towards longer scenes and complex formats.
At the end of the session, students will participate in an exciting show; improvising with professionals for an invited audience. Improvisation helps actors with spontaneity, focus, being in the moment, comedic timing, and the collaborative creative process.
