PUG

PUG (originally Pick-Up Game) has performed in Los Angeles since 2018, and includes veteran performers from M.I. ‘s Westside Comedy Theater, iO West, and The Groundlings. PUG performed regularly as ACME Comedy in North Hollywood and on The PUG Hour, an online show produced by Outside In Theater. PUG’s style of play is fast, irreverent, and, we hope, fun.

What started as a Second City House Team has evolved into a bunch of friends whose greatest joy is messing with each other on stage. Our shows are inspired by a run of fake 911 calls and from there we follow the fun while remaining grounded in character and relationship and sticking to our Harold derived structure. In addition to Second City we have also performed at several festivals including the Westside Comedy Festival, OC Improv Fest and San Francisco Improv Festival.

La Ronde is the style of improv that we have been practicing and performing for the most part, but we have played with creating our own style.  We all met in an improv class at L.A. Connection where we later had a residency,  and then decided to form a team. We have performed at The Yard, L.A. Connection, Flappers and the Pack Theatre. We are just a group of friends looking to have fun and elevate in the world of improv.
